REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AWARD OF A POST-DOC FELLOWSHIP AT THE MAX PLANCK INSTITUTE FOR COMPARATIVE PUBLIC LAW IN HEIDELBERG IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE EUROPEAN LAW INSTITUTE (ELI) PROJECT ON COMMON CONSTITUTIONAL TRADITION IN EUROPE – SUBGROUP ON COMMON CONSTITUTIONAL TRADITIONS

WHEN

March-June 2020 (four months)

WHERE

Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law in Heidelberg, that has generously agreed to fund the position.
The successful candidate will be required to reside in Heidelberg throughout the whole duration of the project.

WHAT

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • –  edit the national reports on free speech and freedom of movement submitted in the first phase of the project
  • –  coordinate the drafting of the questionnaires for the second phase of the project, the identification of the national rapporteurs, the submission of the questionnaires to the national rapporteurs, and the collection of the completed questionnaires
  • –  prepare a report summarizing the takeaways from the new national reports
  • –  regularly liaise with the other contact person(s) of the sub-group.

Tentative fundamental rights on which the rapporteurs will be called to work include freedom of assembly and association, freedom of religion, right to health, right to vote, freedom of economic initiative.

HOW MUCH

The successful candidate will be awarded a compensation at the same conditions of the

research scholarships awarded by the MPIL to other post-doc scholars

PRE-REQUISITES

Ph.D in law, preferably in public-law related subjects
