Migrazioni Europa Diritto is the website designed to host the outcomes of the Project of Excellence of the Department of Linguistics, Literature, History, Philosophy and Law (DISTU) of Tuscia University. The focal point of the Project of Excellence is in the field of legal studies; however, it intends to enhance a multi-disciplinary, multi-dimensional and multi-level approach to the multi-faceted phenomenon of international mobility, through an inclusive and transversal work frame, covering a wide range of research areas such as international, European and domestic law, demography and economics, history, geography and philosophy, literature and culture, including arts. The laboratory to test the outcomes of the Project of Excellence is the European institutional and cultural space, where the migration-security nexus will be investigated, along with other upcoming connections (e.g. the migration-disasters nexus, the foreign affairs-migration policy nexus, the human development-migration containment nexus). In so doing, ADiM aims at promoting a better understanding of the complexity of discourses around international migration and human mobility, through the consolidation of stable partnerships among all relevant stakeholders and researchers in the field. Setting up and strengthening networks within ADiM hub will also unleash the Academy’s agency and lobbying capacity within the European Institutions – first and foremost, at the European Parliament.
