IntoME: Summer Training School
Legal And Political Challenges Of Migrants’ Integration In Europe
The STS on Legal and Political Challenges of Migrants’ Integration in Europe will take place at Tuscia University in Viterbo, providing Master’s, PhD students and practitioners an extensive and thorough understanding of the phenomenon of migrants’ integration. It is organised in the framework of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on the Integration of Migrants in Europe (IntoME) and will investigate three key aspects: a) pre-entry and early integration measures and practices, including access to the labour market and basic social services; b) mid-term integration strategies, including access to welfare and non-discrimination legislation; and c) long-lasting integration measures, including social inclusion strategies and urban/municipal integration. These dimensions will be explored from a variety of viewpoints, including a legal, political, social, economic and geographical standing. To this aim, leading academics, practitioners and experts in the fields of labour law, welfare studies and public policies, geography and territorial processes will be involved.
As the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing, the STS activities have been scheduled online. Applicants and confirmed participants will be informed of any changes in due time.
