Joint Master of Laws (LL.M.) in the Prevention and Suppression of um.edu.mt/laws International Crime at Sea (MICAS)

  • Categories ADiM - Segnalazioni

The University of Malta and University of Ferrara are jointly organising a new Masters’ Programme on the legal aspects of the prevention and suppression of international crime at sea. Subjects covered are: international law of the sea, international maritime security law, protection of fundamental rights, judicial and police cooperation, immigration law, and defence sciences. You will be provided with both a sound theoretical background and the practical skills you need to address crimes such as maritime terrorism and transport of weapons of mass destruction, piracy, migrant smuggling and human trafficking, drug trafficking, and marine environmental crimes.

An international teaching staff with vast experience in the field will combine a theoretical approach with more practical presentations and training, offered by specialists such as officials of the United Nations and the EU, members of the police forces, NGO operators, lawyers and other professionals.
